Part of one of the world's largest volunteer organisations
Our club is part of the Rotary International family, founded in 1905 in Chicago by Paul Harris around the idea of bringing together professionals to build authentic relationships and actively contribute to the good of their community.
Over time, this initiative grew globally, developing projects with major impact in education, health and social support. From this tradition was born Rotaract, a programme for young people who want to get involved, grow and carry Rotary's values forward.
Today, we continue this legacy through our projects, preserving the same spirit of engagement, responsibility and the desire to build a better community.
Mission
Our mission is to bring together engaged young people and provide a space where they can grow, collaborate and create projects with real community impact. We encourage initiative, responsibility and the desire to actively contribute to change. Through every action, we aim to leave things better than we found them.
Vision
We aspire to be a leading community in Cluj-Napoca, recognised for meaningful projects and people who inspire through action. We aim to develop authentic leaders, connected to society's needs and ready to drive lasting change. We build an environment where ideas take shape and people grow together.
Our Journey
First Meetings
A shared idea and a genuine desire to build something for the community. A club in its earliest days, but with people who believed in it.
Chartering
23 April 2021: the idea became reality. Rotaract Cluj-Napoca Gemina was officially chartered.
First Adventures
Team spirit and collaboration between members solidified, continuing the club's tradition of turning ideas into concrete, impactful projects.
Steady Progress
24 active members, 9 new colleagues and a community in continuous growth. 6 quizzes, projects such as Game On! and FeeL, plus internal development initiatives. 71,000 RON raised for social causes and a real impact in the community.
Real Impact
8 projects delivered and initiatives dedicated to the local community. Over 56,000 RON raised, 40 partners actively involved. 100+ forms completed and strong mobilisation around the causes we support.
RESTART
A year of completion and concrete community impact. The RESTART project reaches its conclusion: the rehabilitation of the Paediatrics ward at Dej Municipal Hospital. We consolidate our partnerships and continue building initiatives with lasting impact.
